I have graduated!

Daddy & Mummy have been bringing me to this Basic Obedience Class for training since 15 September 2007. After 10 weeks of horrendous training, I have finally graduated with flying colours!!!

Daddy was pretty disappointed with me when I was doing the automatic sit la... But that's because there were some people chasing a ball on the field next to the training ground!!! They have never been there before of course I will be curious and kaypo a bit ma!!! Then I forgot to sit. So Patrick the trainer give me points deduction. =(

To make up for the point loss, I braced myself for next test: the stand for inspection exercise whereby Daddy had to unleash me and make me stand on fours while he walked away. Patrick then walked over to stroke me on my back. I gathered my courage to face Patrick and his hand as I always break off from my stand position whenever some stranger approaches me. Patrick was very impressed with my steadiness when he managed to stroke me on my back. He even told Daddy that he will give me full marks for this exercise, bacause I had made tremendeous improvement from last week when I din even give him a chance to walk near me.

After that, it was the heel excerise without leash which as usual I was disturbed by the footballers la, so I din sit down automatically when Daddy stopped walking. He even had to command me to sit a few times before I diverted my attention to him. The recall excerise following that was also quite ok as Daddy always trained me for that exercise.

The last test was the mass doggie sit-stay and down-stay. My left neighbour was Lucky the Jack Russell and my right was Belle, the Thai Retriever(because his parents are Thai). The sit-stay test was chicken feet. When it came to the down-stay test. Baby, another Jack Russell suddenly went bersek and ran across us, causing all the commotion among the dogs. Belle stood up and chased after Baby, I sat up and tried to siam her advancement. Lucky also went off to find his Mummy who was on the spectator stand, leaving his Daddy in lurch. Me being non chalant with whatever's happening remained still until Daddy came to collect me.

Heh heh... right after the completion of my test, Mummy came out of her hiding place to look for us. Patrick then give out certificates of participation to the failures. Daddy said he was surprised my name was not called! Hmpf! How can he have such low confidence in me? I'm his chubby bum bum no matter what! He should have faith in me! Soon, Patrick called the passes one by one according to their marks. He said out of the 11 dogs in my class, there were only 5 passes!!! Out of 200 marks, slowly those scoring 171, 173, 174 went up to collect. I was shocked that my name is still not called yet. Then it went down to the top 2 scorers: Brownie the labrador(which IMHO she is not brown at all loh!) and yours truly!

And there I was, the second top dog in the class, abit surprised but true. My Daddy and Mummy's hard work have paid off. These ten weeks had been neck wrecking but fun. Now I understand a bit of English such as Mum mum, sit, stand, stay, down, no, eh, ok, go, come, bye bye, naughty, bom bom, go bite her (Daddy taught me this, pointing to Mummy), good boy, sayang etc.

Hee! Look at the pictures of my victorious Awards Ceremony!
